There’s something about a barbarian aesthetic that gets me every time. When I got this outfit in game, I knew I had to make it. Most of the outfit uses recycled materials or leftover fabrics from other projects. And to make it easy on myself, the body paint is actually a spandex shirt and pants.

Competition info

I competed as Link at Rose City 2023. As this is a comiccon, all entries are walk-ons. It was fun to strike a pose and strut my stuff on stage with a cucco.

Build Book

This is the build book I presented to the judges. It points out all the materials I used as well as how I built the armor. Many of these techniques have been turned into tutorials.

Competition video

This video was taken by my friend Faeliae Cosplay in the audience. A fun thing about a comiccon stage is that the MC reads your costume details to the audience. I have never heard an audience cheer so much for recycled materials.
