This outfit is so bright and colorful! It was my first master-level competition build and I’ve competed with it several times before finally retiring it to just something to wear and enjoy. The entire kimono is quilted with heat-formed ribbon borders. With all the quilting and layering, this is easily one of my weightiest cosplays.

Competition info

I’ve competed with this outfit 3 times. It was my first master-level build so I submitted it to several competitions. Each entry was a walk-on and tested my stage fright in competing solo. It was a large kimono, easy to hide in. But as I pushed myself so much with this, I feel more comfortable on stage alone.
