This is the first edition of this book.

I’m a pretty big fan of piano versions of game soundtracks and FF8 is no exception. I played this game into the ground and I loved the music, so I needed the score that matched the piano album.

There is very little artwork inside the book, dedicating much of the book to music score. At the start is an introduction to the musical staff and an odd selection of screenshots introducing only 4 of the characters. The score itself definitely lives up to the advanced level. And despite crazy arpeggios and wild chords, the grand staff is spaced out enough to not get the notes mixed up when you read it.
