When I first started cosplaying, I was deep into Naruto, as many were at the time. It’s where I get my cosplay name from too, as Leaf-nin were the abbreviation for Konoha (leaf) ninja. I cosplayed a few at the time, though Kakashi was the only one who competed.

Competition info

This was my very first competition ever at KatsuCon 2005, done with my college’s anime club. I created a skit where we slowly replaced Naruto characters with characters from other series as we re-enacted the misty bridge story. And somehow, Kakashi is the only one who seems to notice something’s off.

This skit got me hooked on performing and competing.
