As soon as I met Blathers in game, I knew he’d become my favorite. Awkward, nerdy, and afraid of weird things. I wanted to make a cosplay for him, and ouji lolita really fit his style.

I wanted to make nearly everything for this, including the socks, fossil bag, and shoe covers. Much of the outfit is made of flax linen to keep cool. I designed all the patches for the jacket and hat, sewing them out of acrylic felt. The Animal Crossing fabric in the pockets and the glass jacket buttons were sent to me by friends specifically for this cosplay, making it a true island community project.
